Prime Lemon Lime Hydration Drink – 500ml

1. For Cosmetics

Cosmetics typically have a Period After Opening (PAO) symbol (an open jar icon) or an expiry date printed on the packaging.

How to Check:

• Expiry Date: Look for a date stamp (e.g., "EXP 12/2025") on the product packaging.
• PAO Symbol: If there’s no expiry date, check for the PAO symbol (e.g., "6M" means the product is safe to use for 6 months after opening).
• Batch Code: Some brands use batch codes (e.g., A1234) to track manufacturing dates. You can contact the manufacturer or use online batch code checkers to decode it.

General Guidelines:

• Unopened Products: Most cosmetics last 2-3 years if unopened.
• Opened Products: Refer to the PAO symbol or general guidelines:
  • Mascara: 3-6 months
  • Foundation: 6-12 months
  • Lipstick: 1-2 years
  • Skincare: 6-12 months (check for changes in texture or smell).

2. For Medicines

Medicines in the UK, UAE, and India are required to display an expiry date on the packaging.

How to Check:

• Expiry Date: Look for "EXP" or "Use By" followed by a date (e.g., "EXP 10/2024").
• Manufacturing Date: Some medicines also display the manufacturing date (e.g., "MFG 05/2022").
• Batch Number: If the expiry date is unclear, use the batch number to contact the manufacturer for details.

General Guidelines:

• Prescription Medicines: Always check the expiry date before use. Expired medicines may lose potency or become harmful.
• Over-the-Counter (OTC) Medicines: Follow the expiry date strictly.
• Storage Conditions: Improper storage (e.g., exposure to heat or moisture) can shorten a medicine’s shelf life.

Tips for Consumers

• Check Before Buying: Always inspect the expiry date before purchasing.
• Store Properly: Keep cosmetics and medicines in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Discard Expired Products: Do not use expired cosmetics or medicines, as they can cause skin irritation, infections, or health risks.
• Use Batch Code Checkers: For unclear dates, use online tools or contact the manufacturer.
